The locking mechanism will hold the bike up securely. To flip the stand up for riding, you simply kick the locking mechanism tab backwards to unlock it, and the leg will flip back! If you kick the leg of the stand, it will not move, so be sure to kick on the locking tab!

This style of kickstand will only work if the rear frame tubes are round or slightly oval on your bike.  If your frame tubes on the back end are square or a different shape, this stand will not fit securely.  If this is the case, use a center mount kickstand!  Available below.

Kickstands are not meant to hold the weight of the rider.  Do not sit on the bike with the stand down to prevent damages and injury.
